1775th Squad Orientation Guide

Ribbons and Awards

As a member of the 1775th you have the opportunity to receive many awards and ribbons based on different factors. There are ribbons, campaign awards and career awards that you can strive for. Every soldier likes to be recognized for their accomplishments and we want to make sure everyone is able to see how good you really are. The awards and their descriptions can be found on the website and they are broken down in to these three areas. The only way that you will receive these awards is attached to your signature in the forums. So you must be registered in the forums to be eligible for the awards. All awards are also announced in the stats section of the forums.

Field Ribbons
Field ribbons are giving during and at the end of each campaign. These ribbons usually have a statistic tied to them such as number of kills with a certain unit. Once you receive an award during a campaign it is yours as long as you are a member of the squad or you upgrade that ribbon by qualifying and receiving another class of the same ribbon. Each of these awards has four classes and a master level ribbon. The ribbons are not easy to get by any means so you will have to work hard to qualify for each and every ribbon you receive.

Valor ribbons are given to members of the squad by anyone in a leadership position. The leader will observe something that goes above and beyond the normal duty of a squad member and that person will be recognized for their outstanding effort. There are three levels of valor awards which will allow each member to achieve the same award up to three times each.

Campaign Awards
These awards are given out at the end of each campaign. These are the hardest awards to receive within the squad by far. The only way to get one of these is to finish a campaign in the top ten within the game in any ranked category. What makes this so hard is that you are going up against every player in the game, both axis and allied.

Career Awards
Career awards are given when a member achieves certain statistics over the duration of their career. These awards are also tough to get and the numbers for the statistics are high to make them a challenge.

How to receive Ribbons and Awards
The next highest ranking person in your chain of command is responsible for your stats. They should be checking them and staying on top of them regularly. You may also contact this person and let them know you are eligible for a ribbon or award. The next highest person checks your stats and turns them in to their chain of command until it reaches the Kompanie Commanders who hand them off to the Awards Officer. The Awards Officer will place the appropriate awards in your signature for you. The Awards Officer will also record your accomplishment in the forums so every member can see your accomplishments.
At any time you want to see how you are doing you can check your stats by visiting http://events.wwiionline.com/scripts/services/index.jsp. All you have to do is type your game name in the space provided, and pick the desired persona. From there click on the units tab, and select the units that you would like to gather stats for.
