The Squad

To understand your role and expectations you must first understand the squad as a whole. As a leader you should have read the squad orientation manual available in the forums where you received this manual. In order to lead in the squad you must understand how the squad operates and our goals and objectives as a squad. Each squad in the game operates differently, has different organization as well as expectations and roles within their organization.

Goal of the 1775th
The overall goal of the 1775th is to provide a fun environment, of the troops and for the troops, that maximizes the skills and abilities of the members while focusing everyone on the completion of one objective.
Sounds simple? Remember that the leader must always keep this in mind while directing the squad or a section of the squad. Our members come first all the time. It can be a hard balance between winning or loosing a town or battle and the troops having fun or not. The troops must always be thought of first, ALWAYS.
The 1775th is a Rapid Deployment Force. That means that we do whatever is necessary at the time. We pick up and deploy all over the map whenever and wherever needed. Sometimes we may be in the middle of an attack and we are needed on the other side of the map to defend a key town. We need to pick up and redeploy in the area that we are needed most at the current time.

OIC
At all times there should be an OIC on for the squad. The leaders in the 1775th should always be willing to step up and take this position when needed. Without an OIC the players have no focus and scatter over the map defeating the intention of the squad. The leaders must be able to take the OIC position when needed and direct the squad with the best of their abilities. You will make mistakes; there is no doubting that, we are all human. As OIC your role is to keep everyone focused on one objective and make sure a good time is being had by all. That’s it; it’s that plain and simple. The OIC oversees the squad and gives them direction, such as where to go and what is needed. The OIC is the temporary squad CO and should be fully respected as such by the members of the squad. There should never be any confusion, the OIC points the way and the leaders help make it happen.

Secondary OIC

The role of the secondary OIC is to help support the role of the OIC. This will be helping to round up the troops to the common spawn point and communications with squaddies and other squads. What ever the OIC needs the secondary OIC should be there to assist them. When the OIC must step away for a bit the secondary OIC should already have all of the information needed to continue supporting the squad without loosing any time.

Other Leaders
During normal game time the OIC’s have the biggest portion of the general squad direction. This does not mean that the other leaders do not have a role when they are not OIC. The OIC directly depends on each and every leader in the squad to step up and help organize the squad and keep everyone focused on the same task or objective. This would include helping to get everyone on the same mission, taking notes for awards, helping people that just logged on to join us in the field, and helping the OIC in any way possible. As a leader in the 1775th you are always a leader and you are expected to always be a leader. A leader will help and assist all members of the squad whenever possible.
